Private Peter

Private Peter

1918, just before the end of the Great War. An Austrian soldier crosses the barrier of the Italian lines and flees. He is very young, alone, scared. In his journey in the enemy land, so similar to his own, thoughts of the terrible experience on the front alternate with childhood memories. Along the way, death takes him and puts him back into the flow of nature, to which he has always felt he belonged.  Inspired by a real Hungarian soldier. His name was Peter Pan. Private Peter is inspired by the surprising correlation between the name of a soldier in the Austro-Hungarian army, Peter Pan, who died a few weeks before the end of the Great War, and the character of the novel by J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan, the boy who never wanted to grow up. He is like a wood elf forced into fighting in a violent world, that does not resonate with his nature.

Private Peter is produced by Francesco Bonsembiante (JOLE Film) and Andrea Stucovitz (PMI MEDIA), co-produced by Claudia Sümeghy and Villő Lilli Létássy (JUNO11 Pictures). The film star Ondina Quadri is directed by Gianfilippo Pedote and Giliano Carli Paris. It’s filmben by Matteo Calore and Martin Szecsanov (Super8). The amazing live paintings are by Cosimo Miorelli. The film will be distributed by JUNO11 Distribution and will be released in Hungarian cinemas in the first quarter of 2023.
